With standard hinges (110°) the cabinet door always remains slightly in front of the cabinet opening. As such, inner drawers cannot be pulled out, as they would knock the door. That's why a support panel can be placed, and the drawer will then become narrower and consequently go past the door.
Of course that way, you do lose quite a lot of storage space. To solve this problem, Blum launched the 155° hinge on the market. This hinge ensures that the cabinet door fully opens outwards, and no longer remains in front of the cabinet opening. As such, the inner drawers can use the complete width of the cabinet, and can glide smoothly outwards. There is therefore no longer any lost storage space.
